For a list of districts throughout the state that partner with TAMU to place TLAC Clinical Teachers, please visit https://mysehd.tamu.edu/clinical-teaching-partnering-school-districts/. If you are interested in clinical teaching at a district that is not on the list AND is more than 35 miles from any current partnering district, you must submit the online form by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.
Once the form is received, the TLAC Field Experiences Office will contact the district administrator to inquire about a clinical teaching partnership. New district partnership agreements are due on Friday, September 13, 2019.
Once the agreement is received, the TLAC Field Experiences Office will contact the potential university supervisor.
- Supervisors are offered a one-time contact payment of $350/student teacher, plus $50 travel stipend.
- A TEA qualified university supervisor must be hired before placements are finalized.
Supervisor Qualifications:
- 3+ years teaching experience
- Master’s degree
- Current Texas teaching certification
- Current principal (mid-management) or superintendent certification
- Accomplished educator (as shown by student learning)
- Experience mentoring new teachers
- T-TESS Field Supervisor or Appraiser trained
- Commitment for one academic year, if needed
Clinical teachers must complete the online form by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.
